Adrienn Szabadics
CPsychol HCPC MSc BSc(Hons)
Chartered Sport and Exercise Psychologist
Adrienn holds an undergraduate degree in Sport Psychology and Coaching Sciences from Bournemouth University, followed by a Master’s in Sport and Exercise Psychology from the University of Winchester, and another Master’s in Psychology from Oxford Brookes University. Recently, she completed a PhD research project focused on enhancing team resilience in women’s high-performance football.
Her passion for sport psychology began during her early years as a competitive swimmer, where she became fascinated by the mental side of sport and exercise. Questions like “Why do I feel nervous?” and “How can I boost my confidence?” sparked her curiosity. Throughout her academic journey, Adrienn gained a deeper understanding of these experiences, which ignited her desire to help others navigate similar challenges in high-performance environments.
Adrienn has gained valuable experience working in various high-performance settings, including working with Saracens and Charlton Athletic FC. She has supported athletes at all levels—from recreational exercisers to professional and international competitors—and has worked with individuals ranging in age from as young as 8 to 65. Her expertise spans multiple sports, including football, basketball, rugby, badminton, cricket, tennis, golf, athletics, gymnastics, triathlon, and more, as well as providing psychological support to motorcyclists.
In addition to her work with athletes, Adrienn lectures in Sport Psychology at Buckinghamshire New University and remains actively involved in advancing the field through ongoing research.
